Radjha Ali is a versatile artist hailing from Nampula, a province in northern Mozambique, where he grew up under the musical influence of his father and the traditional rhythms of his region.
From a young age, he developed an interest in traditional dances of Mozambique, leading him to take singing and dancing classes at the Mozambican army school.
Having undergone military training, Radjha Ali occasionally sang at church without much ambition. However, his comrades soon realized that his destiny was leading him towards a career in music.
"That's where I had my first significant exposure to singing and dancing," he explains as he reminisces about those memories.
Following this, and after obtaining a music diploma from the Canzion Institute, he enrolled at Eduardo Mondlane University, School of Communication and Art, to further study music. It was through this academic journey that he began working with various icons of Mozambican culture, such as Roberto Chitsondzo, Hortêncio Langa, Steward Sukuma, Mingas, and Rodária Silvestre.
In 2020, Radjha Ali won the "VOZES QUE ENCANTAM" program broadcast on Mozambican television as the best artist. This recognition allowed him to gain greater visibility, ultimately leading to the opportunity to represent Mozambique at the Dubai Expo in February 2022.
