CONTEMPORARY PERSIAN MUSIC
Aïda and Babak were born and raised in Tehran. Each one came from a different musical environment, but both sought a new musical direction. It was their common love for flamenco that united them about 13 years ago. Soon, their attraction to jazz Manouche led them to discover an unknown aspect of music. From that moment, they created their own style, and this covers all the music they love, from American and European jazz, Iranian and European classical music, Spanish and Brazilian rhythms, Turkish and Bandari melodies, we even find a Celtic and Balkan touch . They have managed to achieve a modern musical alchemy where nothing is juxtaposed or forced.
Manushan's music flows and boils over low heat and mixes in the correct doses, with all its components reaching a deep and natural synthesis.
